Maziar Bahari on the Daily Show
Iranian Newsweek journalist Maziar Bahari appeared on the Daily Show yesterday following his release after 118 days in Tehran's notorious Evin prison. His crime? Espionage. The evidence? His previous appearance on the Daily Show, where he gave an interview to Jason Jones and called President Ahmadinejad a "moron." This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen on the Daily Show, partly because Jon Stewart goes against his usual interview style and actually lets Bahari talk. The result is funny, shocking, and poignant.
