Well done to the Times of London for giving proper recognition to the Iranians who are standing up to the fascist fanatics who run their country.
Neda Soltan became the face of the Green Movement after being shot and killed by a government militiaman during a demonstration in Tehran protesting the sham presidential election on June 12. This mobile phone video of her last moments shocked viewers worldwide and helped embolden an opposition that continues to speak out demanding respect for freedom, human rights, and the will of the people.
Because the state has banned media coverage, it's sometimes easy to forget that the protests and the regime's brutal response continue. Andrew Sullivan has kindly provided a list of Twitter Iran reporters, as well as some good updates on his blog. This photo blog is also worth a look. And there's good stuff here and here, too.
The video is extremely distressing. But it's important that we pay attention, and let Iranians on both sides of this fight know we're watching.
