The best idea I've heard all day

From Car Talk, of all places! Ray says put a 50-cent tax on gasoline. Use the revenue on rebuilding roads and bridges, and on high-speed train line infrastructure between major U.S. cities--built by GM and Ford. Sounds pretty good to me.
